Fencing in Hampshire.
Hampshire is home turf for our second base in Basingstoke, headed by the founder's brother — same team, same contract, same standards. The work here is mostly new estates around Basingstoke and Farnborough where builder-grade overlap fencing reaches the end of its life at about the ten-year mark, plus older village properties where the brief is a proper closeboard boundary that will outlast the last one by twenty years.
What the ground here does to a fence
Chalk downland over much of north Hampshire — hard going with a spade but very stable once a post is set. Flint in the topsoil is common and slows the dig without changing the spec.

Hampshire prices, per metre fitted.
Supply and installation, VAT included, for a standard replacement on clear ground. These are the same figures our estimator uses — updated August 2026.
Worked example
18 m of 6 ft closeboard with concrete posts and gravel boards, standard access, clear boundary — £2,600–£3,600 fitted.
Taking the old fence away is an optional extra you choose on the estimate form — it's priced separately and isn't in the figures above. Minimum job £1,200.
