Fencing in Bracknell

racknell is a new town, and it fences like one. Great Hollands, Easthampstead and Birch Hill are planned estates where every rear boundary is the same length, the same age and failing on the same timetable — which is why whole streets end up replacing within a couple of years of each other. Out at Warfield, Binfield and Winkfield you're into older, larger plots with irregular boundaries and mature planting to work around. The ground is sandy Bagshot Beds through most of the borough: it drains superbly, but sand gives posts less to grip, so post depth and concrete volume matter more here than they do on clay.

What Bracknell throws at a fence

Bracknell sits in the Extended drive-time tier from our Basingstoke base — comfortably inside the ring, and we're through the borough most weeks. Estate access is usually via a rear alley or a wide side gate, which is the cheap end of the labour scale. Crowthorne and Winkfield plots with heavy planting take longer and we'll say so on the visit rather than after.

Most Bracknell jobs are one of two things: a new fence installation where there's nothing there yet, or a full fence replacement of a boundary that's come to the end of its life.

Most-requested fences in Bracknell.

  • 01

    Whole-street closeboard replacement

New-town estates fail in cohorts. If two houses on a run go together, the per-metre price drops for both — one mobilisation instead of two.

  • 02

    Composite on newer developments

Binfield and Warfield new-builds are full of people who don't want a paint job every third summer. Aluminium posts, 25-year boards.

  • 03

    Deep-set posts on sandy ground

Bagshot sand drains brilliantly and grips badly. We set deeper and use more concrete here — it's the difference between plumb and leaning.

Why Bracknell homeowners pick us over a random trade.

One company, end to end

GoodFence is a small London fencing company. We survey every Bracknell job, price it, fit it with our own team and stand behind it ourselves. One contract, one number, one company on the hook — not a directory, not a stranger off a phonebook.

Fixed price, no day-of surprises

The price you sign off doesn't move unless the ground itself tells us otherwise — and if it does, we put any change in writing before we touch a tool. One quote, one number to call.

Specced for Bromley clay

Concrete posts on exposed runs, pressure-treated rails, proper feather-edge. We spec the materials so the bits that matter don't get shortcut.

We build to the boundary you own, not the one that is easiest. Where it matters in Bracknell we set it out with you before we start.
