The chalky soil south of the A2 drains beautifully but doesn't hold timber posts well on tall runs — concrete posts are our default on anything 6ft and over here, no exceptions.
Visit fee is £100 for DA1 (Mid drive-time, about 55-60 minutes via the A2) and £150 for DA2 around Wilmington and Bean (Outer tier). Most Dartford plots have decent rear or side access. Non-refundable and not deducted from the eventual job.
