Local drive-time tier

imbledon is one of our closest patches — we're ten minutes up from Barnes. The housing stock splits cleanly: Edwardian semis through South Wimbledon and Merton Park with long narrow back gardens and shared side boundaries, larger Victorian and inter-war villas up in Wimbledon Village, and 1930s semis through Raynes Park. Wimbledon Village conservation rules apply to street-visible boundaries above the common.

Visit fee is £50 — SW19 and SW20 are both Local tier. Most SW19 streets have rear access through gardens; SW20 around Raynes Park can be side-passage only on the older terraces. Parking is straightforward outside the Village; resident-permit zones inside it mean we drop materials early.

What we get asked for here

Most-requested fences in Wimbledon.

  • 01

    Hit-and-miss shared boundaries

Most popular in South Wimbledon and Merton Park — Edwardian semis have openly shared boundaries and hit-and-miss looks identical from both sides.

  • 02

    Closeboard with concrete posts

Wimbledon Village larger plots — exposed boundaries above the common need the wind resistance concrete posts give.

  • 03

    Trellis-topped low fences

Conservation street fronts in the Village where panel height is capped at 1m — we go solid base + trellis for privacy without breaking the rule.

Why goodfence

Why Wimbledon homeowners pick us over a random trade.

Founder-led, end to end

GoodFence is a small London company founder-led. We quote every Wimbledon job ourselves, run the install, and stand behind the work. One contract, one number, one company on the hook — not a directory, not a stranger off a phonebook.

Fixed price, no day-of surprises

The price you sign off doesn't move unless the ground itself tells us otherwise — and if it does, we put any change in writing before we touch a tool. One quote, one number to call.

Specced for Bromley clay

Concrete posts on exposed runs, pressure-treated rails, proper feather-edge. We spec the materials so the bits that matter don't get shortcut.

"Quote was clear, the day's work was clean, and the price didn't move from what we'd agreed. That's all you really want."
